  1. Compost kitchen scraps & yard waste
  2. Recycling (just about everything)
  3. Mulch mow your yard
  4. Reusable containers
  5. Buy in bulk when needed
  6. Purchase smaller when needed
  7. Homemade cleaners in reusable containers
  8. Grow organic food when possible
  9. Reuse store bags (preferably paper)
  10. Return hangers to cleaners
  11. Take toxins to hazardous drop offs
  12. Donate Discards to local charities
  13. Recycle computers & electronics
  14. Stop junk mail delivery
  15. Use rechargeable batteries
  16. Plan your purchases-don't over buy
  17. Freeze leftovers
  18. Reuse gift bags and decorations
  19. Use ceramic and glass dishware
